Lujiazui launched a financial competition, hoping to encourage workers to think differently on financial issues as well as teach people ways to invest and reduce financial risks, according to the Pudong Times on Nov 15.

A side aim of the contest is to discover new talents in the finance industry.

The competition will be held both online and offline. The online contest is open to everyone, and is accessible via the Lujiazui Financial City official Wechat account. Those who achieve a high score will win souvenirs, gain access to financial lectures, or qualify to take part in the offline competition.

The offline contest has a greater focus on those already working in the finance industry. The first round will be competed internally within companies, with the top two workers from each competing in the final two rounds.

The organizers will also prepare 10 financial lectures to teach locals more about things such as family asset allocation and personal loans. The first lecture will be given by Qian Chen, president of Minsheng Road branch of Bank of Communications at 6:30pm on Nov 16.
